Convert NC to GLB — 3D Model Reconstruction
NC (Numerical Control) is CNC machine control format used in precision machining and manufacturing. This tool reconstructs a 3D mesh from the toolpath data and exports it as GL Transmission Format Binary (GLB) for web-based 3D and AR/VR applications. No software installation needed — upload and convert instantly.

Why Convert NC to GLB?
NC (Numerical Control) files contain machine instructions rather than mesh geometry. Converting to GLB allows you to visualize, inspect, and share the manufactured shape in standard 3D formats.
This reconstruction is particularly useful for verifying print paths before manufacturing, creating documentation of machined parts, and sharing 3D previews with team members who don't have CNC/slicer software.
MiConvert reconstructs the 3D geometry server-side by tracing the toolpath coordinates and generating a mesh representation of the deposited/machined material.
How to Convert NC to GLB
- Upload your NC file using the upload area above (drag & drop or click to browse).
- MiConvert parses the toolpath commands and reconstructs a 3D mesh approximation.
- Download your converted GLB file once processing is complete.
- Open the file in your 3D viewer to inspect the reconstructed geometry.
Key Features
- Reconstruct 3D mesh from NC toolpath data
- Supports FDM 3D printing and CNC G-Code formats
- Server-side processing with automatic path optimization
- No software installation — works entirely in your browser
Frequently Asked Questions
Is NC to GLB conversion accurate?
The converter reconstructs an approximate 3D shape from the toolpath data. The result represents the path of the tool/nozzle and provides a good visual representation, though it may differ slightly from the original CAD model.
What types of G-Code are supported?
The converter supports standard FDM 3D printing G-Code (with G0/G1 commands and E-axis extrusion) and basic CNC G-Code. Proprietary machine-specific codes may not be fully interpreted.
Do I need to install any software?
No installation required. The conversion runs entirely on our cloud servers using specialized path reconstruction algorithms.
What is the maximum file size?
Guest users can upload files up to 30MB. Registered users get a 50MB limit. Large G-Code files are automatically subsampled for efficient processing.
Why does my GLB file look different from the original model?
NC files only contain toolpath instructions, not the original mesh geometry. The reconstruction creates a tube mesh following the tool path, which approximates but does not exactly replicate the original 3D model.
